Tail
of the Lizard
(28
May, 2005)
We all
met at the William's Pilot gas station around 8:00 am Saturday morning.
All week the weather forecasters predicted afternoon rain showers, but by Friday
evening the forecast was looking good. We started with about 15 cars and
picked up two more in Lumberton as we passed through. Our friends from New
Orleans were waiting for us when we arrived in Columbia. Not sure of
the exact count but about 25 in all Corvettes ran the Lizard. We had lunch
in Monticello then headed back to Columbia. Most of us took a side
trip through rural MS out to Picayune to visit Dino's Corvette Salvage Yard.
Thanks
to Rain for a great day of driving and Corvette Club comradery.
