Valentine Cruise to Catfish CharlieÕs
Hammond, LA, Sunday, February 12, 2006
On Sunday, February 12th,
several members of the MSGCCC met at the Ocean Springs Park & Ride around
8:30 AM. At that time, we had four
Vettes and one Mustang (UGH!). Our
first stop was at the Dairy Queen in Diamondhead, where we picked up another
Vette. Prior to getting to
Diamondhead, we pick up one of our members at the Long Beach Exit. From Diamondhead, we continued on,
picking up I-12, and exited at
Louisiana Highway 21, where we met up with a large group of folks from
the Northshore Corvette Club.
Also, we picked up two more Vettes from our Club, giving us a total of
eight Vettes. We caravanned from
there on to Catfish CharlieÕs. A
number of folks from New Orleans showed up, as well as a couple from Baton
Rouge. We were treated well at the
restaurant, the food was good, and the fellowship was even better. Our Pres, Robert Kline went out to the
parking lot and counted a total of 63 Corvettes. The weather was great, although a little on the ÒcoolÓ side.
We were well received by
the Northshore Vetters and they were very appreciative of us supporting their
outing. It is hoped that, the next
time we go over to Louisiana to show our support for our fellow enthusiast from
other Clubs, we will have a larger turnout of Club members.
