Mississippi Gulf Coast
Corvette
Club
First of all, I want to thank
you all for attending the Day in Pompeii/Imax Day in Ancient Greece/eating at
FelixÕs/Shopping at Eastern Shore event.
We had several club members on hand and the we could not have asked for
better weather.
IÕd like to thank everyone
for the great turnout at the Valentines Cruise. James Alverson made some humorous observations on the trek
from Mississippi to Louisiana. If
you missed the meeting, you missed out on a funny tale!
March suddenly has become a
busy month so please check our website calendar. You have SEVERAL opportunities to drive your Corvette!
Again, I want to stress to
you that we make every effort to support our neighboring Corvette Clubs. Please drive carefully and try to
attend all of the car shows. RSVP
is quite important as reservations and purchases must be made in advance. If we only have 50 RSVPs and 75 people
show up, it really throws a wrench in the machine.
Please note that the Holiday
Cruise Line boat cruise to Mexico Òfinal paymentÓ will be coming up on March 6th. A few rooms remain if any of you have
friends, family, co-workers, or neighbors who want to attend.

Minutes of
the MSGCCC Meeting
Thursday, 22
February 2007
We had 45 members in attendance. Way to go, Gang!!
Robert opened the meeting by
introducing one of our long, lost members from years past, Mr. Wayne OÕneal
(WayneO), the original voice of ÒVettes by the ShoreÓ.
Robert made the point that
new members are entitled to one blue Club shirt.
Please see Jim Harrington
about club shirts (we are placing a new order for Blue Shirts).
We welcomed a new member to
our Club, Kellye Rushton. Kellye
has a Õ86 Red Coupe. Welcome
aboard, Kellye!
All members are reminded
that $10 raffle tickets on a 2007 Victory Red Corvette Coupe. Please see Ed Nunenmacher if you are
interested in purchasing a ticket.
Our Club membership
directory is available for $10 at each monthly meeting. New members are encouraged to obtain a
form and fill it out for inclusion into the Directory.
Ed Nunenmacher gave a report
on the visit to Mobile for the Pompeii exhibit, followed by lunch at FelixÕs on
Battleship Parkway. After lunch, a
bunch of us boogied over to the Eastern Shore Shopping Center. Some of us spent a lot of money; most
of us spent a little money; and some of us didnÕt spend any money. But we had a good time none-the-less.
Jim Alverson gave a report
on the Valentine Cruise to Catfish CharlieÕs in Hammond, LA. There were a total of 65 Vettes in
attendance.
Robert showed a short film
on the dyno day in Lucedale. It
was interesting and informative.
Rain is sending out flyers
on all the Corvette events coming up in March. If you are planning to attend, please RSVP to Rain. (CHECK
THE WEBSITE CALENDAR)
The Vetter Halves will meet
at JadaÕs house on April 1st.
Robert again touched on the
Carnival Cruise Line Ship Cruise in May.
If any of you are interested in going, please contact Robert as soon as
possible.
Ken Klein gave an update on
Vettes by the Shore. Everything is
moving along quite well. The show
will be presented by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Corvette Club. Host clubs will be Crescent City
Corvette Club, North Shore Corvette Club, and Greater New Orleans Corvette
Club.
The ClubÕs visit to the
Corvette Museum is scheduled for April 19-22. Microtel in Bowling Green will be the ÒHostÓ hotel. Robert will put out the contact
information soon.
Member birthdays during the
month of February included Darrell Suber, Mike Leeds, and Sharon Breazeale.
