Minutes of the MSGCCC Meeting
Thursday, 30 March 2006
Our President, Robert Kline, opened the meeting by asking different members to review the action from several of our recent adventures. Reports were given on the Legends Car Show in New Orleans, the Lower Alabama Show, the trip to the No-Problem Raceway, and, of course, our Club trip to Bowling Green.
Deanna Suber gave a TreasurerÕs Report, the results of which I failed to obtain. Sorry.
We have a number of Club activities coming up soon. Among those are:
Vettes by the Shore on May 20th. No rain date is planned. We will have 150 trophies to give out to attendees. Ross Downing Chevrolet has given $1,000 to the show.
In June, we are planning another run of the Tail of the Lizard and we plan to invite the Jackson Club to come down and join us. Details will follow.
We may also have another trip to Vicksburg in June as well. Again, details will follow.
On 22 June, the San Antonio Corvette folks are going to have a show. They have been fairly regular attendees to our Vettes by the Shore. If you are interested in going over, please contact Jim Alverson for additional info.
One week from today, 7 April, we are going to have a cruise to Mobile and the surrounding area. Robert and Rain are working out the details now. If you plan to go, you will have to respond rather quickly. Robert needs a head count in order for us to get a reduced price on the exhibit we are going to visit in Mobile. This should be a nice trip. We will visit Malbis for shopping first Š later, we will eat dinner either at CarrabaÕs(?) or FilixÕs.
On April 22nd, there will be a car show at Camp Shelby to honor the troops. It would be nice if we could have a nice contingent from our Club go up and show our support for our troops who are protecting us.
If IÕve forgotten anything that was discussed, please let me know and IÕll put out a revision. By the way, Ms Wanda Alverson won the Corvette watch door prize. Congratulations Wander Faye!
