I hope everyone had an enjoyable Easter last month and again thank you for the wonderful turnout at the meeting. Seems as though the great spirits, wonderful food, and give-a-ways are increasing attendance and activity at our monthly meetings.
I’d like to welcome back an old member, George D. Langston, and his beautiful 1996 Collectors Edition Convertible. Also new members Chris McLveen (2006 C6 Z06) & Michael Wright (1998 Coupe). Thanks for making the meeting, fellas!
April 8th we went to Mobile, AL for shopping, Mummies, BaySide Dining, and to hear Rain play some music. April 22nd we attended the car show at Camp Shelby. The turnout of around 16 Corvettes – several older members were there. It was a wonderful treat to see Sharon Breazeale! We will keep you posted on the Larry Breazeale Memorial Trophy for Vettes by the Shore. I’m proud to announce that at the Camp Shelby show that we had two club members actually WIN! (after several 1 day car shows sending us home empty handed- hahaha!) Richard Reed (1970 Convertible) and Chris McLveen (2006 Z06). April 29th we attended SeaBee Days at the Gulfport, MS SeaBee base. We had 10 cars attend after a hearty breakfast at Chick-fil-A. The activities at the base were outstanding. Especially the burnout contest and the K-9 Dog demostration. Everything was top notch! We walked away with SEVERAL trophies at this event! (incredible food and there were TONS of give-a-ways, too)
May holds our annual Vettes by the Shore show. Club members need to register their cars, sell sponsor trophies, and gear up for an incredible day at the Edgewater Mall on May 20th. See the web site for more info or call Darrell Suber at 228-822-0963.
