THE PRESIDENT - February 2006
I'd
like to first of all thank everyone for the GREAT turnout at Montana's at our
Jan 26th meeting. I realize that we covered a lot of information and your
patience and understanding is needed during this time. Happy Hour comes after
business, please.
I'd like to welcome back some of our missing members who were able to attend.
Great seeing all of the new corvettes out on the NEWLY paved parking lot at
Montana's.
Rain
Jaudon and I are working day and night to upgrade the club's computer files.
Your input is greatly appreciated. We need club news, stories, tall tales,
family gossip, Katrina/Corvette related experiences and more.
I felt
very honored in passing out the gift cards to our club members in need and I look
forward to the next distribution.
We have
a busy 2006 ahead of us. Keep an eye on the upcoming calendar of events and
make every attempt to attend. (ie. the recent trip to Slidell, LA for beignets
and cafeL au lait) Our trip to Natchez, MS is several weeks off followed
by our annual trip to the museum in Bowling Green, KY. I need your reservations
as soon as possible. Event fees are posted on the Calendar section of our club
website.
Michael
Leeds, Kim Lofquist and Carl Hamilton attended the NCRS Orlando, FL show in
January and we can't wait to hear their tales of the event.
Congrats
to Jada Cooper for her recent NCM Experience in Bowling Green, KY with her 2003
50th Anniversary Corvette Coupe. Pictures and a short story should be posted on
the website later this month.
In
closing, I wish to express my deepest sympathy in the passing of lifetime club
member Larry Breazeal. Larry and his wife, Sharon, drove a 1977 Corvette Coupe
and were quite an asset to the MSGCCC. Larry will be dearly missed.
