OFFICERS FOR 2005
GULF COAST CORVETTES PO Box 841 BILOXI, MS 39533
FROM THE PRESIDENT
Thanks for the wonderful turnout at the February meeting. I hope everyone is enjoying the food and hospitality at Montana’s. Let’s welcome the following new members: Ray Myers with a 2000 red convertible and David Gross with a brand new magnetic red C-6 coupe. The March meeting will be at Carl’s garage in Sunplex Industrial Park. We will start at 5:30 and the meeting will begin at the usual time of 6:30. We will have soft drinks and subway sandwiches. Cost should not exceed $5.00 per person. Take exit 57 south from I-10. The office is near the water tower. We will have Bob and Becky Turner’s C-4 convertible on the lift for oil change and miscellaneous fooling around. We will have a “code reader” available, so anyone with a C-4 with a trouble light burning, we can diagnose it for you. We will have the proposed bylaws in the mail to every member in a few days. We will vote on them at the April meeting. Save the wave! Robert Kline
Minutes of Club Meeting 15 February 2005 Our President, Robert Kline opened the meeting by introducing new members Ray and Barbara Myer. Welcome to the Club, Guys. We are glad to have you with us. Skippy Kiper, was presented a plaque thanking him for serving the members as Vice – President during 2004. Great job, Skippy, and congratulations. Deanna Suber reported that the Club’s 2005 Christmas Party will be held at Steve’s Marina at the Long Beach Harbor. The date has not been firmed up as yet (isn’t this correct, Deanna?). Darrell Suber passed around a sample of the Vettes by the Shore logo (that goes on the vertical rise portion of the plaque). It was decided by the members that Darrell would get several additional options for the members to choose from for the next meeting. The new Club T-Shirts were discussed and the blue polo shirt was adopted. The shirt will have the Club logo embroidered on the left chest. There will be no design on the back of the shirt. The cost for one shirt, per member, will be $25. Carl Hamilton has the ability to get Club members regular tees with the member’s car embroidered on the left chest and the Club logo embroidered on the right chest. The cost of these shirts will be $35. There are several colors available. If anyone is interested, please contact Carl. The Club by-laws were discussed. When a copy is made available, I will e-mail them out to the membership for review and comment. Becky Turner is developing a list of all members, the month of their birthdays, and other pertinent information. Please respond to Becky when she contacts you for information. Robert Kline and I have an action item to attempt to contact Keith Crosby and get work started on a new Club banner. The Cruisin’ the Coast Committee did not meet in February, but will meet in March. Joe Fleming will report to us on the results of that meeting. A discussion followed regarding getting a plain fabric backdrop to be used to take pictures of the Vettes as they arrive at the Coliseum for Vettes by the Shore. I apologize, but I did not record who has the action on this item. It was decided that the Club’s annual dues would remain at $25 until such time as the by-laws are finalized. The March meeting will be held at Carl’s shop just of Hwy 57 in Ocean Springs. Additional information will be forthcoming. Ed Nunenmacher MSGCCC Secretary. |
